Quarterly Workshops

Materials, lunch, resources, certificates will be provided at the Workshops. There is no cost for the events and ample parking is provided. All inquiring, new, and experienced health ministry advocates and faith community nurses are welcome to attend!

The Trident Health System Health Ministry/Parish Nursing Program links with the Health Ministry Association (www.HMAssoc.org) and has educator status with the International Parish Nurse Resource Center (www.parishnurses.org), which encourages whole person health in congregations. Additional resources and books may be obtained through these organizations. Nationally, 40 hours or more of training is recommended in Health Ministry/Parish Nursing, and a pin and 40 Contact Hour Certificate is presented for those who complete the training provided by Trident. The training includes theological reflection and care of the spirit. (CEUs are under application for approval for each event.)

Directions

Trident Medical Center, 9330 Medical Plaza Drive, Charleston, SC 29406, is located off Hwy 78. Take I –26 and the 205 B exit (Hwy 78 East). The Hospital is on the Right. Go into the cafeteria where Classroom B is located.
